Josh Hall is standing his ground.
Days after Christina Hall put her Tennessee home on the market and accused her estranged husband of stealing money amid their split, his rep fired back at her claims.
“Josh has said repeatedly that he wants to handle the divorce like an adult—in the courts, not in social media and the tabloids,” his spokesperson told DailyMail.com in an Oct. 7 statement. “Over and over again, Christina has insisted otherwise, creating public spectacles, but Josh has still stayed quiet. But now Christina is defaming him.”
“These are false, libelous claims,” the statement continued. “Josh hasn’t stolen a penny from her or her family. This is a red line, and Christina has crossed it. Instead of repeating Christina’s false statement, the media should ask why Christina keeps insisting on handling this matter in public instead of through the law.”
E! News has reached out to reps for Christina for comment and has not yet heard back.
On Oct. 3, less than three months after Josh filed for divorce from the Flip or Flop alum after two years of marriage in July, Christina listed her farmhouse for $4.5 million. "My Tennessee home is officially for sale,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories. “Excited for a new venture in business & real estate!”
Referring to Josh’s Instagram bio of the Tennessee village where the home is, she added, “I guess 'Leipers Fork' is gonna have to come off the bio soon.”
Then, the 41-year-old—who is mom to Taylor, 14, and son Brayden, 9, who she shares with ex-husband Tarek El Moussa, and Hudson, 5, her son with ex Ant Anstead—decided to address him directly.
“Remember when you said you would never steal from me or my kids and you would just be happy in a van with your dog,” she said on her Instagram Stories. “I guess plans changed. All about trying to fake everything you can...With your mind on my money and my money on your mind...Byeeee.”
Later on, Christina clarified some of her remarks. "Yes, this is 'stealing' from me and my family,” she wrote. “Asking for an obscene amount of $$ from me for a short-term marriage is factual. Stealing my rental income for 2 of my sole and separate homes is factual (booking a cleaner does not make you a property manager).”
The HGTV star’s latest comments come one month after she condemned her ex’s request for spousal support in court documents.
"Like all hard-working mothers, my life revolves around my children and my work," she wrote in her July declaration. "It is my understanding that Josh has his own income and therefore, he should not need any spousal support from me."
As for Josh, he’s largely kept silent, speaking out only once following their breakup.
"I prefer privacy, especially during something as life changing as a divorce I did not ask for," he wrote on Instagram in August. "I will not publicly badmouth anyone as people have families, friends and others who respect and love them. Unfortunately the internet is forever."
"We are real humans, this is our life and I am not here to entertain people I don’t know with my private matters,” he continued. “Those details will be handled fairly behind closed doors with our respective counsels in due time. Those who know each of us, know who we are."

Sparks flew while Christina and Josh started spending time together. The couple recreated their March 2021 date a year later.
While on vacation for Christina's birthday, the two posed for a photo on the beach and made their relationship Instagram official.
Months in, Christina had a message for any haters, noting she'll "turn off comments with Josh and will continue to do so if people are rude." As she later put it, "Do what you love with the ones you love. For me, that's Josh, my kids and a few close friends and co-workers."
Engaged! One day after celebrating Josh's birthday, Christina confirmed the duo's romance was anything but a flop.
The pair celebrated the spooktacular season with a visit to Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights.
Just a few months later, they marked their first Christmas together.
"Building life together and enjoying some alone time," she captioned this sweet pic. "Love you Josh."
The following month, Christina enjoyed the "Best Valentine's weekend with my Valentine."
"Prayed for a man who was all man but still treated me like his queen," Christina wrote on Instagram just a few days before news of her and Josh's marriage broke. "Never give up."
In April 2022, fans learned that Christina and Josh privately tied the knot. They then celebrated their union with a wedding in Hawaii that September.
"Shared vows in front of family and our close friends," Christina wrote on Instagram Sept. 4. "Everything in life has led me to where I am right now, which is exactly where I want to be. My dream man on the dreamiest island. Maui holds a special place in my heart. What an amazing night filled with love."
It would later be revealed that the two actually wed in October 2021.
The real estate agent celebrated the HGTV star's birthday with a sweet tribute.
"Happy 40th Birthday to my absolute stunner of a wife!" he wrote on Instagram. "This woman has accomplished so much, inspired so many and continues to impress me daily. I can’t say enough about what an absolute force she is and what she is capable of. Christina is about to make her 40’s the best decade of her life and looking better than ever while doing it!I’m a lucky man and thank my lucky stars that she chose me to take this ride with her that is now our life. Ride or die baby, love you more than anything."
Christina and Josh stepped out for a beach day with her French bulldog Cash and his dog Stella.
"Still going strong…" Josh wrote on Instagram alongside photos over the pair from over the past three years. "03/2024 ← 03/2023 ← 03/202← 03/2021."
In July 2024, Josh filed for divorce from Christina, citing "irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split and her listing the same in her own court documents.
